Dianne has had a 4-year journey with cancer that has been challenging, but she has shown tremendous strength, faith, and resilience throughout!
Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and lung cancer in the summer of 2019, she started chemotherapy to shrink the pancreas tumor and then underwent a pancreaticoduodenectomy (also known as a Whipple procedure) to remove her pancreas, gall bladder, spleen, and part of her stomach. Six months later she had radiation and immunotherapy to treat her lung cancer.
“I was scared to death, but I’m a Christian and I believe with all my heart that God will take care of me” Dianne affirmed. Throughout various treatments and therapies, she tried to maintain normalcy by seeing friends, attending family gatherings, singing at church, and going to the beach with her husband. In November of 2022 her scans came back negative...hallelujah! She attributes her cure and remission to her oncologist, Dr. Shehadeh, and the entire team at OSC.
