What is your name?
Casey, RMA

What is your role at OSC?
I am a Registered Medical Assistant and work in the south Charlotte office with Dr. Dallas’ patients

What is your background/education?
I was born and raised until age 10 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My family moved to Charlotte area, Indian Trail specifically, where I attended high school at Sun Valley High School. After graduating H.S. I was still deciding what I wanted to do as a vocation. I attended CPCC for two semesters and SPCC in Monroe for one semester where I earned my prerequisites for Nursing. I then took a little detour to real estate, but I wasn’t hooked on it. I ended up moving back to MI and working at a preventive health care clinic as a receptionist in their infusion room. While working in this practice, I fell in love with the medical field again and went to school to get a medical assistant’s education, which I am today- a Registered Medical Assistant. I missed my friends and family and decided to move back to Charlotte. My mom has worked at OSC for 11 years and she said they needed a medical assistant to join the practice with the hiring of the new oncologist, Dr. Jennifer Dallas. So here I am a year later rounding patients with Dr. Dallas and our nurse practitioners.
